About Amy Smith-Stewart
Amy Smith-Stewart is the founder of Smith-Stewart, a nomadic gallery in New York and an independent curator, educator and art advisor. She has organized more than fifty exhibitions in museums and galleries. She was Curator at P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center/The Museum of Modern Art, New York from 2002-2006. From 2006-2007, she was a Curatorial Advisor for the Mary Boone Gallery, where she organized a series of group exhibitions introducing a new generation of artists to the Gallery. Smith-Stewart was the 2006-2008 Guest Curator for the Peter Norton Collection. Presently, she is on faculty in the MFA Fine Arts Department at the School of Visual Arts, New York and the MA Contemporary Art program at the Sotheby’s Institute of Art in New York.
